Too Tired? Too Anxious? Need More Time? We’ve got your back.
Write the essay based on the project description uploaded. The topic ,thesis and the 11 sources are provided in the description uploaded below.
You are to take the perspective of an analyst who has been assigned to develop a research supported recommendation on a current business ethics/ social responsibility issue facing a specific company or an entire industry. You should choose a controversial business topic (likely involving a conflict of stakeholder interests) and then employ arguments supported by research and language & concepts (ethical theory, social responsibility, etc.) developed during the quarter to make a recommendation to senior executives regarding what position/ stance your organization or industry should take on the issue and what is left undone by your position/ stance.
In other words, your memo should not be a summary or overview (an “all about” paper). Rather, it
should be thesis driven and should seek to develop an ethically convincing position. Your memo should be supported by at least 8 sources that should represent multipleviewpoints. At least half of your resources should be from academic journals or books.
In addition to being well written and organized, your memo should explain the issue, make a compelling argument based upon concepts and language developed in the course, take account of key facts (data, research, if available), account for key stakeholders and their interests (and tradeoffs) and have a clear, convincing description of a resolution and/or path of action. While you cannot be exhaustive (nor should you try to be), you should apply important and relevant concepts developed during the quarter. In other words, your “voice” (as opposed to mere summaries of the perspectives of others) as informed by class language and concepts should be lucid. The topic you choose should not involve something that is obviously wrong or illegal such as fraud. The issue should truly be controversial and should have at least two plausible “rights” or “wrongs.
