Time to be creative…
This week, YOU will be challenging each other to a workout! Sometimes our workout routines can get a little stale and ideas from others can shake things up. With many gyms shut down during the pandemic and limited access to equipment, many people are getting creative with the resources they have at home and finding online videos for their workouts.
Initial Post:
Upload a favorite workout video link of your choice
OR
2. CREATE YOUR OWN workout video and upload it!
For either option, include an analysis of the highlights of the video:
Who is the target audience?
Are there certain populations that this workout might not be best for (safety considerations)?
What kind of equipment is needed?
Do people need to have a certain baseline fitness level to participate?
Describe the quality of instruction (cues/prompts to assist the viewer).
Describe what muscle groups are being used throughout the video.
What are the major benefits from the routine?
How often should someone be completing this workout ideally?
Response Post:
After you complete your initial post by Friday evening at 11:59 pm Pacific Time, then take some time to view/do a video from another classmate. You will provide feedback on someone else’s video upload regarding your thoughts after completing the workout and your assessment of their summary (were their any other details to note about the video?) Try one or try them all…its up to you! I’m looking forward to hearing about your experiences.read through the other entries and reply directly to at least two classmates by Sunday evening at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. When you reply, ALWAYS type the name of the classmate you are responding to, and your name at the bottom of the message. Make sure to use proper grammar and punctuation in this college level course in all correspondence. Please avoid “text” or “twitter speak” when corresponding.
