There are four different types of organisations listed below. You must choose ONE (and only one) of these as the basis for your assignment.
Each organisation type has the same task. You only need to answer for one of the organisation types, not two, three, or all four of them – just one.
You can decide which one you would prefer to answer.
Answer the questions in the context of the organisation you have chosen.
If you submit answers for more than one organisation type, we will only mark the first one and we will completely ignore any others.

A company that has invented a device to harness photosynthesis in houseplants to charge mobile phones
A company offering trips to orbit the Earth to wealthy individuals
A holiday company targeting 18-30-year-olds
An online mobile phone handset retailer

Your task for whichever organisation type you decide to pick
(Only answer brief one organisation type, no more)
1. How will the various elements of the marketing environment impact on your plans? About 700 words
2. Where do you see your key markets and who would be your main customers? About 700 words
3. Who (and what) are your competitors, and which ones will be the most important? About 700 words
4. What pricing strategy should be adopted? About 700 words
5. What promotional techniques would you recommend? About 300 words
Remember to include an executive summary (that’s a one-page summary of your findings – it’s not a summary of the task or your approach to answering it), to number your pages and to include a table of contents at the beginning of the report. (About 400 words)
In all cases you must explain why you are making your recommendations and justify them fully by using quality academic referencing.
