The reflection paper should include:
The fundamental objective of the reading(s), and how it fits into a broader stream of public administration literature
The theories drawn upon, and the rationale for propositions/hypotheses; research questions and methodology used
Applications of the key principles in public administration practice
Address of how the information you gained from this reading might affect you personally and professionally.
Discuss the roles of information and values in decision-making
Compare and contrast different decision-making approaches
Discuss the limits on decision-making and where existing theories fall short
Although a brief summary of key points may be necessary, this paper is not to be a summary of the week’s
readings. Rather it should be a critical assessment and synthesis of themes and claims within the readings, such as a critique of an argument made by the author, or a synthesis of a method or line of reasoning made in the readings, or the application of the theory in an empirical article. While you can, and should, point out limitations, absences,
flaws in argumentation or research design in the work, you can also comment on something found to be especially powerful, illuminating, important, or compelling about the work and, importantly, explain why.
I have attatched the chapter from the textbook that is ONLY to be used for this paper. I also attatched the word
document with the layout I want the paper written. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER SOURCES, THIS PAPER MUST BE ON THE CHAPTER OF MY TEXTBOOK THAT I WAS ASSIGNED THAT I HAVE ATTATCHED.
