The instructions are:
“The reader for this course, Interpreting Canada’s Past, includes primary documents and secondary analysis. It is the starting point for the major written assignment in this course.
I will choose one chapter from Interpreting Canada’s Past. Using the documents presented, and at least one additional primary and three additional secondary sources that you will find on your own, write an essay on that subject.
The essay should be 8 to 10 pages in length (double-spaced, Times New Roman) and argue a clear thesis. It should be cited according to the Chicago Manual of Style.”
It isn’t mandatory to use all the documents in the chapter, but it might help. I set the “number of sources” at 8 for the 4 pieces of the chapter plus the 1 additional primary source plus 3 additional secondary sources. It would be good to try and use them all.
I will provide the chapter in the additional files in image form.
Also, she clarified the way she wants it cited in an email. I will provide that in an additional file.
