Take any live project example of yours (preferably so that we know you can apply concepts for your projects) or build up any example of your own like building software, building website, building house, modifying car, etc.
1) Prepare WBS (Last level should be Work Package- 8 hours of minimum work and max 80 hours)
2) List activities for entire project or do planning for next 15 days (up to you, if project is not large, you can list activities for entire project and if its large then list it only for 15-20 days of work (rolling wave planning)
3) Estimate duration and resources for the activities- Using History, Expert judgement
4) Sequence activities and prepare critical path (In real life you should consider the resources also- you would not want to be assigned 14-16 hours of day by PM just because PM did not consider resource constraints/ balancing)
5) Estimate BAC- Aggregation of costs of activities.
6) Assume you are 50% into project from time perspective (if your project is of 6 months, imagine you are 3 months into project) into the project/ 50% into the project and you have already completed 35% work (word done), Make assumptions of AC and PV or use real numbers from your project, calculate CV,SV, CPI, SPI, EAC, ETC and VACTake any live project example of yours (preferably so that we know you can apply concepts for your projects) or build up any example of your own like building software, building website, building house, modifying car, etc.
