Summary: With a minimum of 2500 words and two outside sources, analyze and interpret Alison Bechdel’s The Secret to Superhuman Strength, considering what Bechdel has to say about culture, fitness, or embodiment. Based on which sources you choose, you may consider 1) in what way the body is social and/or cultural, if it is, 2) What fitness and/or embodiment can offer, or 3) what does the comic form offer as a medium, particularly in relation to autobiographical subjects or selves. Your paper MUST be backed by a critical source we read, such as Szép or McCloud’s reading on comics.
