Project: Teaching your fellow students about a topic in this course
Directions:
You will be responsible for teaching your fellow students about a topic in this course. Choose material from this course which you find interesting and then create a way to teach this material to the class.
You can create a video, voice thread, power point, written description with images or some other format. Imagine that you are attempting to teach this material to your peers within approximately 10 minutes.
Though you can use material from the textbook, do not copy materials from these source. Present the materials in a different way, for example, with different examples.
Specifics:
*Project will be assessed based on accuracy, effectiveness, clarity of responses, use of supporting examples, thoroughness in teaching about the topic, and grammar.
Create 10- minutes worth of material
For ppt this is a minimum of 8 content slides with notes section filled in
Videos and voice threads should be 10 minutes
Written descriptions should be a minimum of double spaced pages, Times New Roman 12-inch font, 1 inch margins
In your presentation, describe real world applications of the topic and/or provide real world examples.
Additionally, connect the topic to our social environment, for example what are relationships between the topic and issues of diversity, culture, social cognition, identity development, social status, critical thinking, multiculturalism, social identities, stereotyping, bias, and oppression and privilege.
