Please answer all 3 questions. In each question I want you to show command of the theories and criticisms in question. Why is the criticism thought to be a good one (whether you agree or not)? What is fundamentally different about the ethical theories in question such that they would give the answers you suggest? Please answer each question in LESS THAN 300 words. If you go over 300 words it may impact your grade. These are short essay questions so please answer each question in at least 100 words or so.
Question 1 – What role do emotions play in Virtue Ethics? In Deontology? Explain showing knowledge of both ethical theories.
Question 2 – In the notes, what do you find to be the best objection to Utilitarianism? Please show knowledge of the basic moral principle behind Utilitarianism in your answer. Do you agree or disagree with this objection? Explain.
Question 3 – Which theory do you believe is best between Social Contract Theory and Utilitarianism? Explain. Please show a working knowledge of both in your answer.
