Research Question/Hypotheses
The research question of this study relates to demographic factors impacting police stopping citizens in traffics stops. Specifically, this study will test the following hypotheses:
H1: Women are more likely to get a warning, than men, during a traffic stop.
H2: Blacks are more likely than Whites to receive a ticket during a traffic stop.
INTRODUCTION
This is where you state, in at least a page, why your research question is necessary/important. What is it that you are interested in studying? How does it matter in the real world? Why should we care to study your questions? You must appeal to the reader and convince them of the importance. What have other researchers found about this topic?
Findings
In this section you are testing the hypotheses of your study. To do this present: a description of the sample (a brief discussion of the distribution of the gender, age (mean, medium, and mode), ethnicity and income), the tables for each hypotheses (you should have 2), and interpretation of each table with a Chi-square statement from your FINDINGS assignment.
CONCLUSIONS/LIMITATIONS
Here you need to describe what practical application the results of your research may have. How can the findings after testing the hypotheses be used in the criminal justice system? Present at least 3 different ways that the results of the research may be used in a practical manner.
LIMITATIONS
What issues are present in this data or study that limits its use?
