Learning Objective: Student will read and reflect on two National Association for the Education Association (NAEYC) articles that focus on the content areas of math and science.
NAEYC promotes high-quality early learning for all children, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.
Guidelines:
Read and reflect on two NAEYC articles that focus on the content areas of math and science.
Write the title and author for each article as a heading. It is two separate reflections.
Elaborate on three points (for each article) you found interesting that will help you plan future math and science activities for young children.
Include your thoughts and reaction to the readings. NOTE: This is a reflection paper not a summary of the readings.

Grading Criteria (50 Points):
Follow assignment guidelines mentioned above on how to organize the content your article reflections.
A total of four typed pages. Follow the required writing mechanics: two typed pages for each article, 1.5 spacing with 1 inch margins. Size 12 font New Times Roman or Calibri.
Check grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Review policy on plagiarism.
Upload your paper as PDF, word doc, docx or google docx via canvas. NOTE: If you have an apple computer you need to convert to the format requested prior to submitting/uploading the assignment; otherwise I will not be able to open and grade the assignment. You will have two attempts to submit. Be mindful and upload as one full document not by pages. No late submissions or emailed assignments will be accepted.
