MY TOPIC IS: women’s body image in society

Your revised proposal is your plan for completing your project. The more time you put into this step, the easier it will be to complete the later steps!
Capstone Step#2 Explainer
Include the following:
1. A creative title: make it specific and connected to your thesis.
2. A clear thesis statement: make your thesis statement detailed and focused. (See explainer: “Writing a Thesis”)
3. An outline of your main arguments/themes: sketch out the beginning, middle, and end of your project (for an artwork or creative writing frame your outline as a) “My goal is to explore…”; b) “I will accomplish this by…”; c) “My project will show that…”).
4. A preliminary annotated bibliography: include 2-3 sources At least one of your sources should be a scholarly article/book (you can use material assigned in class). Sources should be cited using your preferred style (MLA, APA) and should include 1-2 sentence description of how you will use the source in your project.
5. A detailed description of your methodology:
Interview projects should include:
· at least three questions that you plan on asking your interviewee(s)
· details about how many people you plan to interview and when/where you plan on interviewing them (in-person, using a survey, over Zoom, etc.).
· information on what equipment you’ll be using (audio recording, video recording, etc.).
Video projects should include:
· details about the logistics of making the video
· how long you expect the video to be.
· a basic timeline of steps you’ll need to complete the video.
Research papers should include:
· the specific themes you plan to research
· where you plan to find your information (databases, journal names, primary source materials, etc.)
Creative writing projects should include:
· the specific themes you plan to explore in your work
· the genre of writing you plan on using (memoir, short story, vignettes, poetry, etc.)
Art projects should include:
· details about the materials/medium you plan to use.
· a basic timeline of steps you’ll need to complete the artwork.
· Information on the intended audience for the project—is it for young children, teenagers, a mixed audience?
Format:
· 500-750 words, double-spaced, use a 12-point font, and be proofread for spelling and grammar.
