INSTRUCTIONS
The final proposal paper should be 10 pages (not including the title or abstract pages, the Bibliography or appendix.) It is to be prepared using current AMA style. The structure must be similar to that described for a review article (see the AMA Manual of Style). Left aligned headings should be used. The paper must be cited using current AMA formatting rules. A title page and structured abstract must be provided at the beginning of the paper and a standard (non-annotated) reference list must be included at the end of the paper. At minimum, the reference list in the final proposal paper must include at least 8 peer-reviewed journal articles, a WHO country data source, a policy source, and the textbook. The logframe should be attached as an appendix.

PROPOSAL PAPER: STRUCTURED ABSTRACT ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
A well written abstract is essential to a good proposal or paper. It summarizes the key points of the proposal by describing the project, its significance, and implementation. Often this is the deciding factor if the proposal is read or not.
INSTRUCTIONS
You will write a structured abstract of 250–300 words, approximately one half of a page. This abstract will summarize the main aspects of the proposal. As this is a proposal and not a research paper you will want to choose headings that correlate to the presented points of the proposal (These same headings should be used within the final paper.) Left align headings and space between sections. Do not use citations. List at least 3 key words after the abstract.
