Too Tired? Too Anxious? Need More Time? We’ve got your back.
I’m looking for a Reserch proposal for a PhD dissertation (international business) that must include 3 parts:
1. Introduction (2 pages)
2. Literature review (25 pages) – (looking for the gaps to build the reserch on)
3. Methodolgy (3 pages)
The paper must discuss Infrastructure in GCC countries. Project finance and Project management are the two subtopics of this Reaserch Proposal.
APA citation must be included with in text citations and references at the end.
References are not included in the 30 pages !!!!!
University Requirements:
1. You need to write an introduction to your topic. This is where you explain key definitions of what you are examining. Background information on the components that you will be examining in the literature review based on the Venn diagram approach. You need to explore all areas of the topic here. The most comprehensive explanation that you can provide will help you to formulate your proposal. Do not eliminate key concepts (i.e., ignore information because you don’t think there is data). Identify clear boundaries that the topic could cover
a. This is an example from a current doctoral student:
(i.e., US venture capitalist, Global venture capitalists, or both). Identify in detail frontier markets and the criteria that classifies them as such. This is simply a sample from our discussion and not an exhaustive list of what should be in your introduction, you must determine this information.
2. A discussion of the related existing literature. As the literature review is critical, you need to spend a significant amount of time in this area. Use the Venn diagram outline approach, to address the various categories created by the diagram. This provides you and the committee with a clear view of the major elements of your topic. (You must include the outline, but you must complete the information in the outline, and include a bibliography of the references). I suggest that you provide the committee an outline of your topic by the end of the first 30days to allow for any input prior to completing the entire document.
3. A brief discussion of the theoretical approach you intend to take and, where necessary, the associated empirical issues (empirical discussion will follow below. From the literature review, you should be able to identify the theoretical focus of the papers that you examined. This information should help you to determine the theoretical focus that you will take. While there could be two or more competing theories that you may find in your literature review, you should not have more than two to decide on.
4. Identify the methodology(s) used by the authors in your literature review. It could be that you will decide on a qualitative, quantitative, or mixed approach. You can propose what approach you might use and why.
5. You will be required to present your topic to the committee where we will ask questions. The key is for you to have direct, detailed answers. Afterwards, the committee will vote on whether to pass you along to the proposal defense stage or more information is needed at the topic stage.
The submitted document will have the following:
1.0 Introduction (a brief description of the topic to be researched and why. Do not include personal reasons, rather the relevance of the topic to the literature).
2.0 Literature review using Venn Diagram (detailed analysis of the literature that shows the students clear command of the topic as it exists in the current literature, while highlighting potentials gaps that can be filled by the student’s research).
3.0 Proposed Methodology based on methodology from the research (a clear discussion of what methods were used by others on the topic and how this information will guide the student’s proposed methodology).
