HUMA2805 FINAL TAKE-HOME RESEARCH PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS
For this research essay project, you must choose a religious issue occurring in Canada in the last 2-5 years. For example, the recent gruesome discoveries of indigenous children buried on residential school grounds that belonged to the Catholic Church (or any other religious issue happening in Canada recently). Using at least 5-6 news/media articles, you are tasked with creating a PowerPoint or PDF presentation of your work.
This presentation must be a minimum of 20 slides and maximum of 25 slides (1000 words atleast). It must contain both text from your own original writing as well as quotes from your research and images/film. Most importantly, it must have a thesis – what is your position on this topic and what is the evidence to support your position. You will be marked on your use of language as well as presentation framework and supporting evidence. Do not rely on images to tell your story. Make sure you put in as much text as is necessary to explain your topic. Think of this as a visual essay project.

Since this is a visual project, you will not be expected to write a formal essay, but you may use the formatting suggested in this template if you find that easier or you may be as creative with your project as you would like.
