After a careful reading of Hemingway’s short story, “The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber” and “In Defense of Unhappy Margot Macomber” write a 3-page (most of the third page must be filled) essay answering the following question:
Do you believe that Margot shoots her husband on purpose or that it was a terrible and unfortunate accident?
To help convince your reader of your analyses, you MUST use the story to make your case, by quoting and paraphrasing from the text and building an argument by a close reading of the text. You may also use the article
“Be sure to use proper MLA in-text citations, by citing the author and the correct page numbers for each work.
Use Double spaced, font 12, Times New Roman (or another standard font).
Remember to set proper margins of 1 inch all the way around and ½ inch for the header (if you opt to include one).
Make sure that you do not add space before or after each line.
