Overview: Interview a parent/caretaker of a special needs child and to develop a case study of a child and his/her family.
For this assignment, you will be asked to:
conduct an interview with the parent/caregiver of a student with a disability or an individual with a disability
utilize a given a set of guided questions/talking points related to development and education of the child
Compose a case study based on the experiences of this family
Incorporate your reflections based on the information you gleaned from the interview
***Candidates are also required to complete and submit the Mercy College fieldwork record form which will be provided by the instructor (not required during this semester).

Write a case study of a parent of The case study would be based on an interview of the parent(s) to explore the unique dynamics of this specific family, including nature of the disability, effect on the family, specific diagnostic and remedial interventions, and personal insights from the experiences. Case studies are a common way for educators to become aware of the topic of special needs children and their roles in the family.
Based on the information you glean, write a case study on the child and his/her family.
